PM Kisan Samman Nidhi is a centrally sponsored scheme started in the year 2018-19 to provide an income support of Rs 6000 per annum to all eligible landowner farmer families across the country in three equal instalments of Rs 2,000 every four months. The scheme defines family as husband, wife and minor children. The fund is directly transferred to the bank accounts of the farmers/farmer's family.
